Jamie was born
in Pembroke Dock, on the coast of South West
Wales, and was raised with two brothers Huw
and Richard.
He was educated at Christ College, Brecon,
and went on to study journalism at Cardiff
University
His broadcasting career started in London
in 1989 where he delivered the Shipping Forecast
on BBC Radio Four. He went on to present the
'Six O'clock News' and 'Today in Parliament'
Returning to Wales Jamie has become one of
the main presenters on BBC
Wales Television and Radio.
He has also worked with the BBC National Orchestra
of Wales narrating Prokofiev's Peter and the
Wolf, and filmed a television series sailing
around Wales in a 100 year old boat.
Jamie has also set up his own company, Aspect
Television, one of the leading providers
of network television in Wales.
He is also a popular after dinner speaker
as well as an accomplished chair and host
for conferences and events.
